Julienne Paraiso chosen for McNair Scholars Summer Research Institute

Julienne Paraiso was recently selected for the 2012 McNair Scholars Summer Research Institute. This competitive undergraduate internship program will support Julienne's participation in laboratory research at UNLV with Dr. Brian Hedlund and at Tongji University (Shanghai) under the mentorship of Dr. Chuanlun Zhang. Ms. Paraiso's overseas travel and research this summer is further sponsored through her PIRE Fellowship, which was supported in large part by UNLV's NSF-funded Microbiology REU program.
